What the DYU C9 is built for

The DYU C9 is a commuter e-bike, built for daily rides to work, errands and city streets.

It has a 250 W motor and a top speed of 16 mph (25 km/h).

It carries a 749 Wh removable battery and a stated range of up to 93 miles (150 km) on a charge. Real-world range is usually lower than the rated figure: it falls with throttle use, hills, cold weather, rider weight and higher assist levels.

The DYU C9 weighs 66 lb (30 kg), carries up to 265 lb (120 kg) including the rider, has front suspension and is rated IP54 against water.

In the United States the DYU C9 sells for $999, below the median of $1,499 across 230 commuter e-bikes with a US price, among the more affordable models. That is $1 per watt-hour of battery.

Where the DYU C9 may be ridden

With a 250 W motor it fits the European pedelec limits of 250 W and 25 km/h, where it is treated as a bicycle.
