DYU D3S Mini

What the DYU D3S Mini is built for

The DYU D3S Mini is a folding e-bike that packs down to fit a car boot, an apartment or a train.

It has a 250 W (500 W peak) motor and a top speed of 25 mph (40 km/h).

It carries a 360 Wh battery and a stated range of up to 31 miles (50 km) on a charge. Real-world range is usually lower than the rated figure: it falls with throttle use, hills, cold weather, rider weight and higher assist levels.

The DYU D3S Mini weighs 42 lb (19 kg), carries up to 265 lb (120 kg) including the rider and is rated IP54 against water.

In the United States the DYU D3S Mini sells for $499, below the median of $800 across 24 folding e-bikes with a US price, among the more affordable models. That is $1 per watt-hour of battery.

Where the DYU D3S Mini may be ridden

In the European Union and the United Kingdom an e-bike counts as a bicycle only within the pedelec limits; as specified, its 25 mph (40 km/h) top speed is above the 25 km/h at which assistance must stop. A model above those limits is treated as a moped there, with type approval, registration and insurance, unless the brand sells a version set to the European limits.

DYU D3S Mini safety certification

The brand's listing for the DYU D3S Mini does not state a UL 2849 or EN 15194 certification. New York City allows only e-bikes certified to UL 2849 to be sold or rented there, and California requires certified batteries from 2026; ask the seller for the certificate before buying.
